Born in Happy Valley - Goose Bay, Labrador, Lisa Learning is a Metis artist whose artwork is inspired by beautiful northern Canadian landscapes of her home, and by her aboriginal heritage. The Metis pople are descendants of the Inuit, aboriginal people who have been occupying Labrador for thousands of years. Their indigenous knowledge of the land and their environment has enabled the Metis to live in harmony with nature for centuries. This Legacy of harmony with nature is evident in Lisa's work.
